The ‘Adult Riding Camp’ is designed as an introduction to horse ownership or a chance to spend a little more time with your favourite horse. You can bring your own horse with you if you wish or use one of the horses from the Derby College Equestrian Centre.

You will need to be able to walk, trot and canter confidently.

You will get involved with the care of your horse and ‘muck in' with stable duties. You will have a riding lesson twice a day and a stable management lecture each day. The weekend will culminate in a show.

You will be required to supply your own:

Correctly fitted and up-to-current-safety-standards hat
Safety standard riding gloves
Correctly fitted and up-to-current-safety-standards riding footwear
Correctly fitted and up-to-current-safety-standards body protector
Writing materials
Lunch
