Screen printing, in its most basic form, utilises block stencils to push ink or dye through a fine woven mesh with a squeegee to achieve the desired image. This method of reproducing artwork photographically, using both hand drawn and digitally produced design onto fabric, is both an important tool for commercial products as well as a unique and entertaining way of creating personal items that can be given to significant others or kept as sentimental keepsakes.

Using a photographic method of transferring the design onto the screen, you will learn how to produce your artwork, expose your screen and print 10 T-shirts on a carousel press. This printmaking process is ideal for those who wish to create original textile-based products, either commercially or personally. This course would also be an ideal gift for a loved one who is interested in textile design.

All materials and notes are included in the price of this workshop. Each student will receive 10 white T-shirts (size options to be confirmed once booking has been placed). No previous experience of printmaking is required.
