It’s time to get those cameras out and take some photographs for entry in our 2018 Photography Competition.

The competition is open to all those for whom photography is a hobby with categories for; the under 16s, students and amateurs.

This year the theme is “lost” with the subject of the images being buildings or skills/crafts that are on the verge of disappearing. It’s easy to enter and photos can be simply uploaded via our website with a small registration fee (from £3) being charged, to raise money for our Bretby Pottery Showroom project and to cover the competition costs.

Twelve images will be chosen for publication in The Heritage Trust 2019 Calendar with winners and runners-up from each category being entered in a prize draw for the chance to win some great prizes. Our calendar will be sold online and in selected outlets with the proceeds helping towards the restoration of the Bretby Art Pottery Showroom.

Final judging will take place at the competition Photography Exhibition that is to be held in the Swadlincote Town Hall on the 29th of June 2018 with many of the photographs that we have received being on show.
