‘Field and Footpath’ will be Sue Lewis-Blake’s first solo exhibition at our gallery. The exhibition will be on from 7th to 22nd April, with a private view on the 7th April from 5:00 – 8:00pm.
The exhibition will consist of a series of agricultural landscapes, the patterned environments these create and the paths that take us through them. Although based on sketches made from direct observation, most are evocations rather than exact representations of particular places. A quiet drama is created through strong compositions, subtle colour variations and the use of light and shade.
