I am a painter in Derbyshire, producing landscape paintings. I also run workshops throughout the county for schools and art groups, and provide private tuition to a number of local residents.
I study landscapes, weather and seasonal change with a strong emphasis on colour. Currently I am painting with oils, but I regularly produce work with oil pastels, acrylics and inks. My love of the landscape and the ever changing weather conditions are my starting point, developing my work through sketches that explore composition and colour. From here, I work to create vivid and stimulating final pieces.
