Awakening Spring - Botanical
Drawing & Painting: A six-week course in the art of Botanical Illustration led by Rachael Dawson
Experience the delights of the early spring garden and learn techniques to create detailed and life-like botanical studies.Try out a range of pencils, watercolour paints and papers to develop a selection of your studies into a beautifully observed portrait of spring. All abilities welcome. Suitable for anyone who enjoys drawing and painting in detail.A variety of spring plants will be provided but students may also bring along their own choice to enhance the collection.

Rachael trained in botanical painting at The English Gardening school at Chelsea Physic Garden in London. She has over 10 years experience of botanical painting and has work in public and private collections including The Highgrove Florilegium and The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation.
