Artcore July Newsletter
With July in our midst, we see the return of the summer sun, the summer break on the cusp and we have an exciting range of enticing workshops and activities lined up.
Come to our new cycle of adult workshops exploring paint, digital art and felted cards on Monday and Wednesdays with Victoria Brown, Magdalena Aron and Dawn Campion whilst on Fridays children have a chance to delve into the world of potion magic with Bob Moulder.
As the kids break up for the summer at the end of month, we have some great events to get them through this last month! Our Street Art Festival takes place on the Thursday 11th July in the evening, where you will see performances from Trinity Warriors & Baby People, Live art from SmallKid & face-painting for children. The #THISISDERBY celebration event takes place on the 13th July at Derby’s Market Place. Be immersed in fusion of arts, culture and sports activities and performances that will bring the Market Place to life.
Children can bring dream like structures to life at our, Family Fun Day where our first ever Lego Club will be taking place on Friday 26th July from 2-4pm. Learn through lego play! We can’t wait to see what inventive assemblies are made!

Join us on Saturday 13th July at Derby’s Market Place to celebrate the talents and achievements of our young people in a vibrant takeover of Derby’s city centre.
A fusion of arts, culture and sports activities and performances bringing the Market Place to life for everyone to enjoy and inspire our city – that actually does have a lot to offer!
Family Fun Day
Friday July 26th - Lego Club
2-4pm Artcore- Free
Artcore welcomes a new addition to our summer programme, Lego Club! Featuring more lego than you’ve ever seen come along and make new friends, colour in, build an epic tower, car or whatever takes your fancy. Parents must be supervised by kids at all times.
Join us for a Street Art Festival as part of #thisisderby on Thursday 11th July from 5pm- 8pm.
Activities will include performances by Trinity Warriors & Baby People, Live art from SmallKid & face-painting for children.
The event is open to all and is FREE
Come and and spend the evening with Artcore filled with fun, art, music dance and good vibes.

Celebrating Togetherness

For the 3rd year running we will be celebrating togetherness at Artcore, where we will be bringing together Migrant communities and the people of Derby to celebrate in true Artcore style. Stay tuned as this year is set be one to remembered!
