Theme
The exhibition will explore living with issues such as chronic pain, depression & anxiety. Aiming to breaktaboos & raise awareness. Derbyshire magazine collage artist Kirstie Adamson was inspired to create an exhibition to raise awareness of invisible illness by her experiences of living with endometriosis and adenomyosis. A call for expressions of interest from other artists was met with an unanticipated large response. “I am overwhelmed with the response and I am grateful for the way in which artists have been quick to offer ideas and assistance making the initial concept so much more than I could have hoped. It has also been a great opportunity to work with new artists and become reacquainted with others.”

It is fascinating to see the different ways in which the brief has been interpreted with each artist taking a unique approach. There is also a great range of different mediums being used from ceramics to collage to resin. There will be an opportunity to meet some of the artists involved at a private view event on Saturday 3rd March, there is an event page here where you can let the artists know that you'll attend

This promises to be a truly inspiring exhibition and not one to be missed.
