Bothered and Bewildered - 25th to 27th October. Be there!

Bothered and Bewildered in Tideswell

It's on this coming week! Please support live theatre in our village!

A thought provoking play about memory, loss and love is being performed Thursday 25th October to Saturday 27th October with a subject touching many of our lives.

Tideswell Community Players present Gail Young's Bothered and Bewildered in the magnificent setting of St John's Church, Tideswell on three evenings at 7:30pm.

It is a thoughtful and sensitive comedy drama about one woman's struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Directed by Rob Puckett, the play follows Irene and her two daughters, Louise and Beth, as the women lose their mum in spirit but not in body. Irene has a well known friend to guide her, but does her family know?

This is what Rob says. Don't miss this play! Memory loss is something we all fear. We stand staring into the fridge wondering why we are there...is this the start of something bothering and bewildering? Just because we are a tinsy bit scared we can’t sweep it under the carpet and forget about it. Those who are trying to cope with it need our love and support. Mum has started to behave out of character, do strange things, using language that she would not have dreamed of using before...The play's funny, it’s poignant, it’s brilliantly acted, it’s sympathetic, it’s tearful. A piece to be proud of. I think it will blow your socks off.

We hope to support Dementia UK by performing the play. Please support this charity too and come to the play.
