Buxton Fringe 2017

Buxton Festival Fringe has set its dates for 2017 – July 5-23 – and will be open for online entries on December 1 2016.

Fringe chair Keith Savage says: “This summer’s Fringe was one of the happiest on record. Now we are all looking forward to planning an equally successful event in 2017.”

The prestigious arts festival, one of the largest in England, has already begun working behind the scenes with monthly committee meetings taking place at The Old Hall Hotel in Buxton. Over the autumn, it will be reviewing the results of its audience and entrants’ surveys and working on its flyer to be published for the New Year.

The charity has also announced the date of its popular Annual General Meeting, which will take place on Wednesday November 9th at the Old Hall Hotel starting at 7pm. As last year, the open-to-all event will include light refreshments and a half-hour Q&A session allowing performers, audience members and anyone with an interest in the Fringe to have their say. It will be followed by an abbreviated committee meeting from 8 to 8.30pm.

The Fringe is run entirely by volunteers and is always looking for enthusiastic new members. Anyone interested in joining the Fringe committee can contact Keith Savage on info@buxtonfringe.org.uk. Would be performers will also find plenty of information about the event on www.buxtonfringe.org.uk including specific advice for entrants and updated gallery pages showing all the fun of Fringe 2016.
