Call Out for Déda Volunteers!

As part of Déda’s 20th anniversary in our Chapel Street building, we want to hear from individuals who are passionate about making the arts accessible to all.
We’d love to meet people from across the region that believe in Déda’s vision of enriching people’s lives through dance and the arts. We want to work with work with people who can help us to strengthen our links with communities, reaching new audiences and developing relationships across a range of projects, events and our regular seasonal programme. Interested?
Our volunteers will be representatives of Déda within social and community networks, so it would be great if you already have a good knowledge of Déda’s programme and be confident sharing information (whether in person or online). However, we will still consider anyone with an interest in the arts who is willing to learn more about Déda.
You will be the first to hear about exciting opportunities and gain valuable experience of working within a vibrant arts organisation. Equipped with all the marketing materials you need, you will work to increase Déda’s visibility in the community through the distribution of flyers, and sharing information with your friends, family and networks. Join a growing community of volunteers, with the opportunity to be involved in participation workshops, social events and focus groups as well as the chance to see high quality dance, theatre and circus work in the Déda Theatre.
Alongside the chance to support a local charity, volunteering with Déda offers unique opportunities to meet artists and professionals from all over the world. Gain fantastic work/industry experience, develop a network of contacts and increase your confidence in working together as a team.
Contact Grace Osbourne, Marketing and Audience Development Coordinator for Déda at g.osbourne@deda.co.uk with a short statement (approx. 250 words) about why you would like to volunteer with Déda, and any experience that you feel would
be relevant to the role. Applications are accepted throughout the year, but please get in touch by 31st January 2018 if you would like to support our Spring and Summer programmes.
