Call out for makers for ‘Assemble: Derby’s Making Festival’

This week Derby Museums have launched our call out for makers for ‘Assemble: Derby’s Making Festival’ returning to the Museum of Making on Saturday 22nd October.  

Produced by Derby Museums, Assemble is a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, which aims to celebrate making in all its shapes and forms. Bringing together artists and makers from varied disciplines to share their passion and skills with the public and to encourage others to have a go at making themselves. 

Epictronic Presents FLUO SOBRE

French eclectic artist FLUO SOBRE has signed with Epictronic a deal for the release of the EP "Red", wich will be out on April 29th, 2022.
The Red EP is the first in a two-part series; the Blue EP will follow.. More info coming soon.

New Local eBook Now Available on BorrowBox

Back in October 2021, Derbyshire County Council ran a poetry writing competition as part of National Poetry Day 2021. All eligible entries have been published in an eBook format on the BorrowBox platform.

We provide a free home delivery service to Derbyshire residents who are unable to visit a library due to:

  • disability
  • limited mobility
  • illness
  • caring responsibilities

When you apply for the Home Library Service, we'll contact you to talk about your needs, and find out what you like to listen to or read. One of our Home Library Assistants will then visit you once every 4 weeks. We can deliver to people in their own homes, care homes or sheltered accommodation.

Creative Project Marks Moments in Time

An innovative creative project, involving a group of 70 young people from across Derbyshire, has been officially archived so that future generations can learn about their thoughts and experiences.
 

Dronfield Hall Barn: Artisan & Producers' Market

The team at Dronfield Hall Barn are already looking forward to welcoming you to their Artisan & Producers' Market this weekend.

                                               Sunday 7th November, 10am-3pm | Free Admission

Over 40 different stallholders will be represented at the Barn in their gallery and gardens, and additionally across at the Peel Centre.
