Creative Students Showcase Talents

Creative Arts students at Derby College’s Joseph Wright Centre will showcase their talents at a free public exhibition on Thursday June 15 and Friday June 16.

Students on Art & Design will exhibit their work at the Joseph Wright Centre in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter which will be open to the public between 10am and 2pm on both days.

This follows a private event at the campus involving students in the Performing Arts, Music, Media and Games Development departments presenting their work to family and friends.

Team Manager Graham Wills explained: “Our Creative and Design faculty has grown from strength to strength since coming under one roof in a £3 million extension at JWC just over two years ago.

“We have some incredibly talented students who have worked hard to develop their skills both at College and through the enrichment and work placement programme.

“This is therefore an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and to show the wider public the high standard of work developed across the faculty which is in the heart of Derby’s arts and cultural community.”
