Derby Book Festival 2018

The fourth Derby Book Festival returns from 1 - 9 June 2018 with another great programme  of over 90 events featuring internationally acclaimed writers, poets, historians, politicians, illustrators, storytellers and musicians for all ages and interests.

There’ll be everything from children’s events, including the Waterstones Book Trail, Harry Potter themed events, storytelling and crafts to author talks, discussions, live performances, exhibitions, Masterclasses for budding writers and the annual Book Quiz - as well as events celebrating all that is great about Derby.   From The Archers to art, cooking to cycling, mermaids to music  … there’s something for everyone! 

This year’s Festival includes: Ken Clarke & Alan Johnson, Margaret Drabble, Prof. Robert Winston, Kate Mosse, Lionel Shriver, Roy Hattersley, Alison Weir, , Tim Bentinck aka David Archer, Eddie Mair and Sathnam Sanghera plus local debut authors, Jo Jakeman and Roz Watkins … to name but a few!
