We have some incredible shadow puppets in the Museum’s World Collection. In our hands-on workshop you will create your own shadow puppet, inspired by our Japanese Ghosts and Demons exhibition.
John Flamsteed (1646-1719), who lived in Derby, was the first Astronomer Royal and author of Atlas Coelestis, the great star atlas of 1723, which is explored in our exhibition Derby Mean Time. Join our Collections Manager Spencer Bailey to hear about the man and the incredible astronomical knowledge of his time.
