Dronfield Hall Barn: Reopening on Monday 6th July!

Dronfield Hall Barn: Reopening on Monday 6th July!

Following government guidelines, we're delighted to announce that we're back open to the public from Monday! It has been a long few months, so if you have been looking forward to one of our freshly baked scones, a slice of cake or even for a look around the beautiful gardens, there isn't much longer to wait.

We're so excited to welcome you back, and we hope that you will help us share the following information with your friends and family:

Opening Hours:

The Barn will be open from 10am-4pm from Monday-Saturday. Please note that we will temporarily be closed on Sundays whilst we adjust to new working conditions. Further updates will be provided on our social media pages.

Safety Procedures:

Please be assured we have reviewed and planned very carefully for our reopening. We have submitted all our documents to North East Derbyshire District Council and have been approved for the Visit Britain industry standard kitemark to illustrate we have minimised the potential risk. We have undertaken a thorough clean of the site.

Accessing the coffee shop
When visiting the Barn, please use the top Sainsbury's gate, or walk around the building to the courtyard from the front gate (disabled access is through the building from disabled parking area). Approach the host point and let our staff know if you have a booking. If you have not booked in advance, there may be a wait and you will be asked to queue around the courtyard - please come prepared in case of inclement weather! The host will seat you, give you a disposable menu and then take your order - all waitress service.

Please use contactless payment wherever possible - the host will bring the card machine to you.

Accessing toilets

Initially the disabled toilet facility will be open so we can operate one in - one out . Please ensure you wash your hands and wipe down surfaces you have touched with the wipes provided. One way systems will be in place to access the toilets - please follow the signage and maintain social distancing in the building. Hand sanitizing stations will be provided at entrances and exits.

Online Reservations:

We're excited to announce that we now have an online reservation system in operation on our website. Whilst we advise you make a booking to ensure the best chance of getting a table, we also accept people turning up without a booking – but please note that we cannot guarantee that we will have availability. Bookings through the website need to be made at least 24 hours in advance, but for same day bookings you can continue to phone 01246 418122

Books & Plants Tables

We continue to have books for sale - please help us by handling the books as little as possible - the blurbs are displayed next to the copy of the book. Please ask if you would like to purchase one and the members of staff will bring the card machine to you.

Additionally,  we are pleased to be able to offer our plants for sale. To reduce cash handling no change is available and coffee shop staff are unable to take payments. All payments must be made by putting cash or a cheque (made payable to Dronfield Heritage Trust) into the donation box. Thank you for your continued support - all monies will be used for the future development of the gardens!

We ask you to follow signage/systems in place and observe social distancing whist on site. And please be patient whilst we get used to this new way of working. We welcome any feedback to improve our service.
