Exile Music Festival

This year, Exile Music Festival is opening its Sunday afternoon stage to young performers. “Exile Introduces” is their new initiative to showcase promising young artistes.
Ted Morris, one of the Festival Organisers commented that “Derbyshire and the surrounding area has a wealth of young talent, its sometimes quite difficult for young bands to get noticed. We hope that Exile Introduces will go some way to helping these bands get the promotion and bookings they deserve.”
Manchester based Kabantu (previously known as Project Jam Sandwich) performed at Exile in 2016. Since then, they have gone on to play at prestigious venues such as Bridgewater Hall, Cambridge Folk Festival and Celtic Connections. This year sees the launch of their debut album, “Of the People”.
Andy Martin, another of the Festival Organisers says “We have a long tradition of being a springboard for young, upcoming bands. It’s great to see them go on to be booked at other festivals both locally and further afield.”
