Jig for A Kiss ; Spital Arts concert on FRiday March 29th

 The next Spital Arts gig will be on Friday March 29th at St. Leonards Church, Valley Road/Hartington Road, Spital, Chesterfield S41 0HA

Doors open at 7.00 p.m. for a 7.30. p.m. start.

“EIGHT Jig for a Kissers are heading your way @Spital Arts. A fun evening is in store with music from the folk tradition with our own interpretations. We'll take you on an energetic journey across Ireland, Scotland over to France and a leap to Istanbul, a Klezmer romp and then back to England. But we won't forget to let you have a rest on the way, so we'll include a few chill-out folk tunes and songs (maybe even a Gaelic unaccompanied one). A whole range of instruments (20+) will be on show plus six voices - we think there should be plenty going on to capture your attention. We can't wait.”

“Jig For a Kiss have been playing on the folk scene in and around Chesterfield for about 5 years, venturing as far afield as Stocksbridge, Doncaster, Kilburn and Matlock. We’ve done a great number of pub gigs and ceilidhs. We’ve played on the Sheffield Folk Train, played as support for Blair Dunlop and Anthony John Clarke & Dave Pegg at the Chesterfield Folk Club, performed at the Chesterfield Canal Festival and warmed up the crowd for the Handlebards.
