Join top junior choir and find your voice!

One of the country’s top young people’s choirs is now inviting new members (Girls and Boys) to join by coming along at the start of the new term on at 5pm on Tuesday 10th September at the Uniting Church, Whaley Bridge.

The Kinder Choirs, which was the inspiration of founder director Joyce Ellis, is now in its third decade.  Since its inception in 1991 it has gained a national and international profile with successes in major competitions and festivals, as well as appearing on TV and radio. Its members come from all over the High Peak. This year the Kinder concert choir, will sing at the Bridgwater Hall, Manchester in a concert starring the international superstar Russell Watson.

Joyce Ellis is committed to helping all children find their voice and for this reason there are no voice tests or auditions.  All are invited to take part so that they develop their choral and performance skills at their own pace. The musical experience is varied from musical theatre and popular music to classical choral works.

“Singing in a choir is a wonderful experience at any age. For children it isn’t only about the music as it helps them to develop confidence, team spirit and discipline..  We look forward to welcoming new members, from the age of seven upwards, whatever their singing experience has been so far” said Joyce Ellis.

To join please turn up at the Uniting Church on Tuesday 10th September at 5pm for a 45 minute session  or, to find out more, please contact Joyce Ellis on 01663 746025.
