Previewing the 2019 Dronfield Arts Festival

Our second ever Dronfield Arts Festival is just weeks away, and we're already looking forward to what's in store. 

With over 60 events taking place over across eight different locations in town, there's sure to be something for everyone. Remember that you can still purchase tickets for some of the festival's biggest events, including:

Summer Showstoppers in Concert
Friday 3rd May, 7:30pm
Dronfield Hall Barn Gallery, £8

A fantastic opportunity to come and listen to the extremely talented Andrea Ryder (Soprano) and Mark Cunningham (Tenor) as they present an evening of popular West End Musical hits and famous arias from the world of Opera. The performance will comprise of 2 x 30 minute halves with an intermission for refreshments.

The Dancedaze Show
Saturday 4th May, 2pm & 7pm
Dronfield Civic Hall, £6

Dancedaze, who performed at the festival last year, will return with a brand new energetic show. There will be a matinee at 2pm, and an evening show at 7pm.  A  bar will be serving alcoholic, soft drinks, plus tea and coffee before the show & during the interval.

Krystalite Burlesque Body Confidence
Sunday 5th May, 2:30pm
Dronfield Civic Hall, £10
Awaken that inner goddess, learn the art of tease and join Krystal Rouge & The Krystalites in our popular Burlesque & Body Confidence Workshops which offer a taster into what is involved in their weekly classes in Dronfield. Ladies 18+ only. 
 
Duo Azure
Sunday 5th May, 7:30pm
Dronfield Hall Barn Gallery, £8

Rebecca McIlroy (harp) and Rebecca Howell (violin) from The Royal Northern College of Music, will give a beautiful recital of classical music in the Barn’s gallery. Two 45 minute performances with a break for refreshments in between.
 
'An Evening of Burlesque'
Sunday 5th May, 7:30pm
Dronfield Civic Hall, £10

Think Moulin Rouge and put on your feather boas as Krystalite Productions brings you an Evening of Burlesque. Expect fabulously entertaining and exciting variety acts from national and international performers! 18+ only.

'The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe'
Monday 6th May, 10:30am and 2:30pm
Dronfield Civic Hall, £5

Drama Dronfield joins us to give a performance of C.S. Lewis' famous The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The group is made up by young people, aged 6-14. With a cast of more than 50, the show tells the dramatic story of children evacuated from their homes because of war, who then find their way into the frozen landscape of Narnia. There will be two performance, one in the morning at 10:30am and a matinee at 2:30pm
