Clean for the Queen!

We are looking for your help and a couple of hours of your time. Society member David Hallam is gathering a number of local groups together in order to organise a joint effort to undertake a litter pick on Sunday 6th March in and around Dronfield and surrounding areas.

The groups will combine to meet for coffee at the barn afterwards. For further information please contact David directly on davidhallam132@btinternet.com.

Photography Competition

The Society is inviting residents of S18 to submit entries for its photo competition. Whether you are a serious photographer or someone who takes photos on your smart phone, this is your opportunity to send in your shots of our local landscape, life in the area, buildings or features you find interesting. There is a junior competition with a prize of £250 to buy photographic equipment and an adult prize of a flight over Dronfield in a light aircraft to take photographs of the town.

Prizes will be awarded in May by the Society’s patron Dave Berry. The best photos will be used in a Civic Society calendar for 2017 to be sold for charity. The closing date for entries is 31st March. Application forms can be found on the Society’s web site at www.dronfieldcivicsociety.org.uk.
