Vacancy for a Dance Theatre Practitioner

We are recruiting a highly skilled, enthusiastic and committed dance theatre practitioner with a minimum of three years professional experience of delivering projects in community and educational settings who will be the lead delivery artist for Qdos Creates.

 

The majority of projects will involve working in a variety of community and educational based settings to deliver bespoke workshops and projects for children, young people and vulnerable adults. You may also be required to devise an original performance or portray a character at a community, educational or heritage based venue.

 

Applicants must be experienced, have a professional attitude and be reliable and highly organised with a passion for working with children, young people and vulnerable adults in a wide range of settings. We work with people of all ages from diverse backgrounds and use creativity to boost self-esteem and increase confidence. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with a wide range of people to build trust and relationships with participants and develop opportunities for engagement in creative arts.

 

Salary: £20,000 - £23,500 (depending on experience)

Hours: 30 - 37.5 per week (tbc with successful applicant)

Duration: 1 Year (with a possible extension to a permanent contract)

Probationary Period: 6 months
