'Spring Flowers, Castles & Palaces
of the Sintra Region'

Wednesday 5th February, 7:30pm at the Barn

Dr Patrick Harding will join us to give the second Dronfield Wildlife & Natural History Group talk of the year. This talk will be based on Dr Harding's walking holiday of May 2018 and covers the Sintra region of Portugal including spring flowers, castles and palaces.

 

Art Workshops with John Sutcliffe
Thursday 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th Feb, 1:30pm
£20 per session (£15 for Friends)

Our Artist in Residence's classes continue every Thursday from 1:30pm-4:30pm in the Peel Centre. Come along and develop your techniques or learn new skills in these relaxed sessions. The workshops are suitable for anyone with an interest in making art, no matter what your experience - developing and building skills at your own pace in a wide variety of materials. To attend, email bookings.dht@outlook.com, or call 01246 418122. Quilting/Textile Workshop

A reminder that you can join our friendly quilting group on the second Friday of the month. Come along and develop your techniques under the guidance of our experts. Just £5, the workshop runs from 10am-1pm in the Barn.

 

Half Term Craft Activities
Wednesday 19th February, 10am-2pm
£2 per child

Back by popular demand, our volunteers will be running craft activities in the Barn on Wednesday 19th February. Come along from 10am-2pm to get involved with the fun - full details of what to expect to be confirmed very soon. Just £2 per child. 

 

Stained Glass Taster Workshop
Saturday 22nd February, 9:30am
£20 (£18 for Friends)

Fancy having a go at making a striking stained glass hanger? Come along to our taster workshop in the Edward Lucas Hall on Saturday 22nd February
from 9:30am-1:30pm.

No previous experience is needed and all materials will be supplied to enable you to complete your piece during the workshop. This session will include glass cutting as well as how to assemble and finish your piece.

Join us for £20 per person (£18 for Friends of the Barn).  We regret that due to the use of soldering irons we are imposing a minimum age of 16 years. To book your place, call 01246 418122, ask in our café or click here to book through our website.

 

'The History of the Company of Cutlers'
Thursday 27th February, 7:30pm
£4 (£2 for Friends)

Joan Urwin, an archivist from the Company of Cutlers at Hallamshire, joins us to give a fascinating Old Dronfield Society lecture about the history of the company, which was established by a parliamentary Act of Incorporation in 1624. Turn up on the night for just £4 per person (£2 for Friends).
