WILD / Life at gallerytop

We have a group of sculptures from half a dozen artists including Paul Smith, back into his studio after his evacuation drama at Whaley Bridge this summer. Paul's idiosyncratic fairytale sculptures are well known together with his stylised animals

We' are also very happy to be exhibiting the work of another local artist who has a national reputation for his work.Eddie Hallam creates wildlife sculptures, particularly birds, which are meticulously sculpted to life size and are then cast in bronze and patinated.

We visited Elaine Peto's studio in Hampshire last week a brought a collection of her Dogs, Foxes, Hares and a spectacular Bull. There is always something unexpected in Elaine's studio and this time it was a Seal - see him on our website.

Anna Noel is a Welsh sculptor who's lyrical, narrative work is highly sought after and is in international collections. 'From early childhood animals have fascinated me and their imagery has fuelled my imagination. Animals used in stories, myths and folklore often expresses and symbolizes the complexities of childhood and the adult world.'

Guy Holder is a regular contributor to the gallery and we have a new group of his birds including a darkly handsome Crow.

The show opens on Saturday 21st, but the exhibition is all set up so if you want to see all the work, call into the gallery or visit our website.
