Calling all musicians in Years 12 & 13

Do you want the chance for your music to earn you up to £400? 

Then you will want to know that on Saturday 27th.  April 2019 a music competition will be held at The Strutts Centre, in Belper.

There will be a prize of £400 for the winning student, a prize of £150 for the student in second place, and a third prize of £75.

The competition is sponsored by the Dalesmen Male Voice Choir and all of the information is available in the “Student Competition” section of their website

DERBY CONCERT BAND'S MUSICAL QUIZ EVENING ON 23 MARCH

Derby Concert Band’s next concert is on Saturday 23 March 2019 at 7.30pm at Rolls-Royce Nightingale Hall, Moor Lane, Derby DE24 8DR. This will be an entertaining programme of music from stage and screen, pop, rock and classical, with a quiz running throughout the evening. The questions will be loosely, very loosely, related to the music. Come and test your general knowledge whilst being entertained by this award-winning band

Derby College Students Design Seasonal Video Game

Games Development students at Derby College have designed a high quality video game as part of a project to give them real-life industry experience.

The students are based at the Joseph Wright Centre – the post-16 Academic and Arts college – and designed ‘Drive By Santa’ in just seven weeks.

Television Lifetime Achievement Award for Pollyanna Pickering

The late wildlife artist Pollyanna Pickering has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Create and Craft TV.

The award recognises her excellence in wildlife art and her passion for conservation as well as the contribution she made to the channel during six years of regular guest appearances.
