On Being An Artist- Screening afternoon with CVAN

In 2016 six artists, living and working in the East Midlands, were selected to take part in Document, a project that set out to tell their story, in their voice. Since then the Contemporary Visual Arts Network East Midlands (CVAN EM) has worked with those artists as they have reflected on their practice and captured their experiences.

BELPER ARTS FESTIVAL AWARDED NATIONAL LOTTERY GRANT

National Lottery support for Belper Arts Festival to mark First World War Centenary

Today Belper Arts Festival has received £4800 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for a project, IN WARTIME 1917 -  1922 in Belper. Made possible by National Lottery players , the project will focus on life in Belper during the last two years of the First World War and the aftermath.

DCAS Young Peoples Art Exhibition

Donut Creative Arts Studio (DCAS) in Chesterfield are holding their annual art exhibition ‘Read Between the Lines’ on 14th – 18th May 2018. All the wonderful creative work has been made by young people who attend the centre and is based on the theme of books. ‘Read Between the Lines’ will showcase 2D, 3D art and media work and we would love you to come and have a look. The exhibition will be available for viewing Monday 14th to Friday 18th May 9am till 5pm,

BELPER ARTS FESTIVAL 2019 'VOICES OF THE VALLEY'

Even before the first note has been sung and the final curtain has descended on Belper Arts Festival 2018, the organisers have revealed a major event for 2019.

 

'VOICES OF THE VALLEY' will bring together choirs, groups and individuals from up and down the Derwent Valley for a weekend of song.
