Adverse Camber Productions are recruiting an Engagement Producer

Adverse Camber Productions are looking for someone to join the team to produce and manage specific engagement projects including, “Our Places, Our Stories, Our Futures” a project focused on young people in Bolsover and North East Derbyshire, working with partners and storyteller practitioners.
 

Forest Society Grants Are Now Open

The second round of the Forest Society grant scheme is now open until 22nd February 2022. The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 21st February 2021.
 
The Forest Society Grant scheme funds new ways to support the health and wellbeing of residents and communities within the National Forest. It aims to engage new and diverse audiences, increase participation, and use local woodlands to harness the wellbeing benefits of spending time outdoors and connecting with nature. 
 

Grants to boost local communities

Community projects, groups and charities that support people across Derbyshire are invited to apply for grants.
 
Our Cabinet agreed to the funding yesterday so that we can support the vital work being done by community groups, local enterprises and volunteers in the county.
 

New Local eBook Now Available on BorrowBox

Back in October 2021, Derbyshire County Council ran a poetry writing competition as part of National Poetry Day 2021. All eligible entries have been published in an eBook format on the BorrowBox platform.
 

Portrait of Middleton - Opportunities for photographers, writers, and artisan/makers

Middleton by Youlgrave 1900s - the village is looking for photographers, a writer and a maker to help celebrate the village's bicentenary.
 
In the 1820’s Thomas Bateman, rebuilt most of the small Derbyshire Village of Middleton by Youlgrave. An extensive rebuild, it included the new Middleton Hall and much of the village square, which still structures the village and continues to shape the lives of residents today.
 

Spital Arts is back!

Spital Arts' first event, Take Four, is on Saturday 19th February 2022. So make sure to put the date in your diary!
 
Take Four are a recently formed Jazz quartet, based in the East Midlands playing a mix of tunes both well known and not so well known. 
 
Drawing on a wide musical background and a range of influences; they play a mix of styles including Bebop, Swing, Latin, Cool, Standards and Blues.
