My creative business (established in 1985) has two distinctive product lines that have complimented each other for over thirty years.
I make very high quality contemporary solid wood furniture to order (and for sale in selected local art/craft galleries) featuring hand cut dovetail joints. These include low occasional tables ('dove-tables'), storage chests/cabinets and console tables/desks. They are protected with lustrous finishing oil to highlight the beautiful grain patterns. The emphasis is placed on producing long lasting sustainable products (we are powered by renewable electricity) designed and hand made to look good for many future generations to enjoy.
I also produce original figurative paintings of the unique Peak District countryside including portraits of it's many deciduous trees and also semi abstract studies of reflections in glass windows. I can be commissioned to paint portraits of historical buildings, pubs, restaurants, homes and gardens or a favourite view of the Derbyshire landscape. These can be completed as illustrations for publishing purposes or as special birthday or retirement presents.
