The North East Midlands Photographic Record, or 'Picture the Past' as it’s better known, is a not-for-profit project that makes historic images from the library and museum collections across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire available via a completely free-to-use website. Containing more than 100,000 fully searchable photographs, postcards, engravings and paintings the website documents how life has changed in the region over the last few hundred years.
