Arts in the Village - Part of Derbyshire Open Arts 2016

Arts in the Village have a busy few weeks ahead as they make preparations for their second ‘Arts in the Village Festival’. They will be hosting the event and are extremely proud to be part of Derbyshire Open Arts 2016. The event is one of the largest venues in Derbyshire Open Arts – alongside their Artists and Exhibitors they will also have live music, entertainment, children’s interactive activities, free children’s face painting & story telling, a small selection of market stalls & street food traders.

With over 20 Artists & Artisans exhibiting – inside The Old Station Building, inside the exhibitors marquee and outside under the canopies on Spring Bank Holiday 2016 – May 28th, 29th & 30th 10-5pm.

During June they are lucky to have a really fabulous printmaking workshop planned. Join in at The Old Station Gallery for a workshop with a difference. It will be an informal and relaxed 2 day painterly printmaking workshop, on 25th & 26th June 2016, led by Artist & Printmaker Laine Tomkinson in the beautiful setting of the Old Station Gallery. During the workshop you will work with Laine using Carborundum printmaking techniques. The workshop is open to all levels of artistic ability – from the complete beginner to the more experienced printmaker.

Another fortchoming show in early June will be their first ever solo show at the gallery by one of the OSG Open 2015 - Solo Show prize winners - Deb Allit.
