About the artist

In 2017 Ingrid was invited to feature on BBC’s Countryfile as a narrative artist resident in the Peak District. Filming took place on location in the High Peak as well as in her own studio setting working with Ellie Harrison.
"As a mixed media artist I enjoy telling stories inspired by memories, experiences, literature, landmarks and history. My favoured techniques create rich, colourful, textures using mono-printing, stitching and collage in translucent colour media. Words are often incorporated adding another dimension to the visual elements.

The idea of a Moon Almanac evolved from my move to a new area and the first year of settling in a different environment. January's Wolf Moon was inspired by the local peak and landmark and provided a case study suitable for the television programme. As a remarkable coincidence the tv crew arrived on the morning of January's full moon with a magic landscape covered in thick snow. This memorable experience sparked off a new series based on moon cycles, a fascinating way of responding to life as it evolves".
