Derbyshire Culture & Social Prescribing

Derbyshire Culture & Social Prescribing

Calling all Derbyshire artists, creative practitioners and cultural providers with an interest in Social Prescribing.

We want to round off the year with an opportunity to share experiences, thoughts, hopes and dreams for the role of culture in Social Prescribing. The arts and culture sector responded to Covid-19 with a great surge of creative activity, demonstrating the enormous power of creativity to support good health and wellbeing and we want this to continue.

You may have already heard about the new Thriving Communities Fund, managed by Arts Council England, designed to increase social connectedness and cross sector partnerships with health services. We are keen to support idea-sharing to avoid duplication and work together to build stronger foundations for this work. The deadline for the funding is tight so it will be a challenge to pull together complex partnerships, but let's start the conversation and together see where it leads us.

This event is open to anyone working in the cultural sector with an interest in social prescribing. We will share some of the work we have been developing with Social Prescribing Link Workers and our ambitions for the future. We hope that you will feel welcome to share some of your work and your thoughts about social prescribing.

This will be an informal discussion - an opportunity to meet others and explore ideas together, make new contacts and strengthen existing ones.
