Dry Stone Walling Workshops

Starting Next Tuesday at the Barn

Day 1: 9:30am-12:30pm
Day 2: 9:30am-3pm
Why do dry stone walls stay up without cement?

Would you like to discover how walls are built and how they fit into the structure of the Barn?

We are delighted to be able to offer the chance for you to join Mike Baker, a waller and member of our gardening team, to hear about how dry stone walls are built and have become part of our landscape. The workshop is held over the duration of two days - with the first day taking place at the Barn, before you will then travel to the Peak District National Park (Ridgeway Side, Stanage Edge, Hathersage) to help in building a wall. Places are limited, but workshops will be held across three weeks:
Week 1: Tuesday 25th-Wednesday 26th June
Week 2: Tuesday 2nd-Wednesday 3rd July
Week 3: Tuesday 9th-Wednesday 10th July
£45 per person (£40 for Friends)
