We haven't been able to set sail for our customary annual Furthest from the Sea Festival, but instead we’re embarking on a brand-new online event from the safety and comfort of our own individual hammocks…
SESSIONS FROM THE SHORE will showcase a select few of Derbyshire’s finest artists…and you could be one of them.  We’re looking for expressions of interest from creatives of all types – musicians, dancers, writers, actors, makers, crafters…or anything missing from this list.  You’d be tasked with delivering (up to) 4 online sessions which will teach, develop and/or inspire your audience. These will be pre-recorded by you at home, and we’ll provide you with all the tech support, practical guidance and video editing required to release something of tip-top quality.
THIS IS A PAID OPPORTUNITY, made possible by funding from Arts Council England's Emergency Response Fund, and will be delivered over the summer months...we're looking for stand-out work that's fun and original and a little (or big) bit different.
A large part of the project is learning about the production and delivery of online content…for you, for us, and for the future. We’re looking for people who’re open to working closely with us, sharing their experience of the process and helping us to develop some training/support material for use with other artists in Derbyshire and beyond.
Interested? Get in touch with eileen@furthestfromthesea.co.uk to introduce yourself and we’ll have a conversation.
