A unique world-class art sculpture trail in Derby for summer 2020

Businesses that have not yet signed up to be part of the Derby Ram Trail are being urged to ruminate no longer, as less than ten Rams remain available for sponsorship.

To date, over 20 businesses have registered to take part in the project which will be one of the largest mass-participation art events ever to be held in the city.

Supported by Derby’s Cathedral Quarter BID, the discovery trail for residents and employees will run from June to August 2020, when the stunning Ram sculptures, each designed and painted by a different artist, will be dotted all over the city.

It is estimated that the trail will generate more than £8 million of economic value for the region, while promoting well-being and an active lifestyle.

Derby Museums is the charity behind the project, working with Wild in Art who have animated cities across the world including Sydney, Melbourne, Cape Town and São Paulo, and enabling more than £12 million to be raised for charitable causes.

Supporters for the Derby Ram Trail so far include St Peters Quarter BID, Rolls-Royce, University of Derby, Intu, Three Sixty Media, Bloc Digital and Central Health.

Jennifer Cuadrado, Head of Fundraising for Derby Museums, said: “Sponsorship opportunities are being snapped up. You too could join our impressive roll call of supporters; it reads like a who’s who of the Derby business world – those that recognise the social impact and tangible benefits a popular, inclusive public art event like this brings.

I can’t think of a better way to communicate how much value businesses receive in return for sponsoring a sculpture and choosing their preferred design.

There are limitless possibilities for stakeholder and staff engagement, community outreach, profile raising and creative fun.

The Rams will be auctioned off at the end of the project to raise money for Derby Museums.
