GT Couriers Expand Fleet with New Mercedes and DAF Vehicles
At last, the new GT Couriers fleet vehicles have arrived on-site and are looking pretty snazzy if we do say so ourselves! The new kit has been issued, security modifications installed and signwriting completed so they’re all road ready for your next delivery.
First to arrive were the new facelift Mercedes Sprinter panel vans, which boast an impressive load area of:
- 14 cubic metres
- 4.2 metres bulkhead to back door
- 1.3 metres between the wheel arches
- 1.8 metres load height through the cargo doors
- Payload of 920kg
All are fitted with the latest live vehicle tracking system with enabled ‘customer login’, letting you check the delivery progress from start to finish. They also feature a cab camera to enable our Ops team to monitor driver view and road situations in real-time, as well as a secure deadlock system to keep your cargo safe and secure.
Next in the mix are the DAF LF 7.5 tonne vehicles. We have added 4 curtain siders with tail lifts with a payload of 2100kg, 1 non-tail lift with a payload of 2500kg and 1 box tail lift vehicle (payload to be confirmed). Each truck features an impressive 37 cubic metres (7m x 2.45m x 2.3m) load area with room for 12 standard pallets.
Like the Mercedes Sprinters, all are fitted with the latest live vehicle tracking system and enabled ‘customer login’, as well as a cab camera. The curtain trucks are fitted with TIR security cords, enabling loads to be security sealed. The box truck is fitted with a column tail lift with an in-cab isolator switch, effectively securing the vehicle.
