Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival

Don’t miss out on this inspiring day of adventure films and activity!    The 7th annual Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival will be held on Saturday 27th February 2016 at Hope Valley College and is sure to excite and inspire with a collection of award winning films from around the world.    

The day time event is packed with the very best films from the world of climbing and mountaineering, mountain biking, kayaking, mountain culture and adventure travel, with non-stop action from 11:00am to 6:30pm. The programme includes films from the ‘Best of Kendal Mountain Festival’, the ‘Best of ShAFF’ and appearances by award winning film makers and adventurers. You can also enter the youth bouldering competition or try out the slack lining, caving challenge or mini orienteering event. Why not enter our Youth Adventure Short Film Competition by making your own 3 minute adventure film, there are prizes from Go-Pro and winners will be screened at ShAFF.

At HVAFF 2016 the evening event is running focussed, the Hope Adventure Running Evening (or HARE) with inspiring films and talks from record breaking fell runners Judith Jepson, Spyke and Nikki Spinks. The evening session starts with Pie & Peas available from 6pm and lectures from 7pm, all served up with locally brewed beer!

The Hope Valley Adventure Film Festival is a great day out for families and seasoned outdoor sports addicts alike.  Tickets bought on the door cost £10 for adults, £6 for under 18’s or £30 for a family of four, and are cheaper when bought in advance.  Evening tickets for the HARE event are £7.50.     

HVAFF is organised and run by volunteers from the Hope Valley College PTFA and all proceeds go to improving facilities at the college.
