HOWZAT – HSG Confirms Continued Support For SCC

Derby-based Hygiene Services Group (HSG) have confirmed its eighth consecutive year of support for trophy-winning Spondon Cricket Club.

HSG initially supported the club in Locko Road by supplying the innovative Ureco water conservation system and providing washroom services for the clubhouse as part of SCC’s commitment to improving its environmental credentials.

The relationship has since developed to HSG being the club’s main sponsor.

Junior and senior cricket teams take to the pitch in kit sporting the HSG logo and are provided with training kit branded with Cleen – HSG’s latest innovation which is the UK’s first fully integrated washroom services management tool and review app.

HSG has also provided fitness equipment for players and has invested in the latest video technology to enable cricket fans who are unable to travel to the ground to watch home games on You Tube.

The sponsorship renewal comes hot on the heels of another successful season for Spondon CC.

The first team were crowned Derbyshire Premier League champions and won the Jackson Cup; the second team were division two runners up and won the Butterley Cup with the remaining three senior teams finishing in the top half of their division’s tables.

Meanwhile the Under 19 team were the Clean Hit Challenge T20 winners and junior sides with players age eight and above all fared well in their leagues.

HSG Managing Director Simon Rice said: “Cricket is a fantastic sport that brings people of all backgrounds, cultures and ages together with a common love of the game.

“We are therefore incredibly proud to have helped Spondon CC grow in both stature and size over the past few years.

“It is wonderful to see players across the five senior teams and countless junior teams arrive at the HSG Oval and away grounds across the county in their sponsored training kit and then take to the field with HSG’s logo emblazoned on the shirts.

“SCC has also joined the many professional sporting arenas who have reduced their water usage, improved their environmental impact and saved significant amounts of money by using our Ureco system in the male washrooms.”

SCC Chair Dave Moore concluded: “We are extremely grateful for the continued support of HSG which has helped our club grow and provide first class training and playing facilities for the benefit of hundreds of male and female cricketers of all ages.

“As well as financial support, the HSG team ensures that the washroom facilities for players, umpires and supporters alike are kept in top notch condition which always prompts praise from club members and visitors alike.”
