Hubbub’s Annual Winter Wonderland Returns with Festive Fun
Derby-based Hubbub Theatre Company are back performing at Déda next month with their annual Hubbub Club Winter Wonderland.
Hubbub, is an integrated theatre company that train and produce shows with actors with learning disabilities that tour throughout the East Midlands to theatres and outdoor festivals and events. They run an two-day-a-week actor training course and an extensive ‘Get Involved Programme’ for young people with moderate learning disabilities, offering weekly classes at The Hub and twice yearly theatrical club events for people with learning disabilities, their family, friends and everyone with an open heart who likes to party.
This year’s Hubbub Club has a Winter Wonderland theme and is being held at Déda on Sunday 08 December 2019. It will see Hubbub’s actor trainees and participants from The Hub perform new work alongside surprise acts, games in the Cube café and dancing all afternoon long to the resident DJ.
Join Hubbub and enter their magical wintery world. You’ll journey through a seasonal landscape of polar bears and penguins and visit snowy memories of winters past, snowball fights and cosy nights.
There will be fabulous performances from the company and guest appearances. There will be DJ's, dancing and creative activities in the café to keep you entertained all afternoon in our friendly and inclusive party atmosphere.
Hubbub Club events are suitable for all ages and abilities and there is an extra warm invitation to those with learning disabilities, their families and friends.
Hubbub has joined forces again with Derby Quad’s Q Club who work with children on the autistic spectrum, children with additional support needs, who are socially excluded, have disabilities, are young carers, looked after or bereaved children. They have created a series of phenomenal projections to accompany the performance element of the event and will also be running Winter Wonderland themed craft workshops in the Cube café.
