Imagineering the city
There is an urgent need to pro-actively curate the city centre experience.
That's the message of the inaugural Bondholder Blog - which has been launched today by Marketing Derby. Managing Director, John Forkin, argues that Covid-19 has accelerated the decline of the High Street and in the future, customers will be attracted by the promise of an experience that is not only safe, clean and attractive but also full of imagination and surprises. Like Disney - who employ 'imagineers' - he argues that maybe Derby should appoint a Director of Experience.
To complement the piece, a new film - Lockdown Derby - has been released today. "We wanted to capture a unique period in time, a ghostly city in the midst of a pandemic and Bondholder ‘AV IT Media has produced a work of eerie beauty. I find myself watching it again and again" says John.
