Information about visiting Chatsworth after 19th July 2021

Following the government’s announcement on 12 July regarding the further easing of Covid restrictions, we wanted to tell you about our plans at Chatsworth for visits from 19 July onwards.

While we are looking forward to being able to welcome more people back to the estate, the health and wellbeing of our visitors and colleagues remains our number one priority. We are therefore taking a cautious and gradual approach to lifting our Covid safety measures.

The following will apply from 19 July:

  • Face coverings: We will continue to require all visitors to the house to wear a face covering (this does not apply to under 11 year olds, and those who are medically exempt) We will encourage the use of face coverings inside our gift shops and catering outlets.
  • We will retain the need for all visits to the house, garden and farmyard to be booked online in advance.
  • The farmyard will move from two sessions per day to three, thereby increasing capacity. Anyone who has a future booking which may be affected by this change will be contacted directly.
  • As announced previously, anyone wanting to park in either the house car park or at Calton Lees, and not visit the house, garden or farmyard, no longer needs to book in advance. Car parking can be paid for on arrival.

We will be reviewing these measures regularly, and update them when we feel it is in the best interests of our visitors and colleagues.

We hope to see you soon.
