Local charity to host an evening of Art Appreciation

Crossroads Derbyshire would like to welcome you to an evening of art appreciation, fine food and wine, hosted by Ghislaine and Michael Howard.

Ghislaine Howard was named as a Woman of The Year in 2008 for her contribution to art and society and is internationally recognised as a painter of powerful and expressive means, her works deal with the human condition charting and interpreting our shared human experience. Ghislaine’s husband Michael is an art historian and Lowry authority.

Ghislaine and Michael will be hosting an entertaining evening for all art lovers or anyone wanting to gain a special insight into the artistic process. They will be joined by special guests Peter and Gillian Byrom Smith, and Ian Marriott.

All proceeds from the event will go to support Crossroads Derbyshire (formerly High Peak Women’s Aid) to improve their service to families experiencing domestic abuse in the High Peak and North Dales. Ghislaine is the charity’s patron and long-term supporter.

A buffet will be provided courtesy of the Trustees of Crossroads Derbyshire, and there will be a free glass of wine or a soft drink on arrival.

A raffle on the night will give the opportunity to win an original work of art by Ghislaine.
