trentbarton steps up the support

Bondholder trentbarton is gearing up for the reopening of schools and colleges, and providing services for more people returning to work and beginning to socialise, by making its most significant return to pre-COVID levels of bus services from Sunday (August 23).

Its customer numbers are already nearly 50 per cent of pre-COVID levels and trentbarton is bringing back staff to be there for when more people want to travel.

Jeff Counsell, managing director at trentbarton, said: “This weekend will see our biggest single step back to returning to a full service. It means we’ll have the capacity to provide COVID-secure journeys for the expected increase in customers.

“We’re playing our part in getting the local economy back up to speed and want customers to join the growing numbers who have been returning to our buses. Being ready for our college students and school pupils is a major aim of these latest service enhancements, which boost the frequency of services used by young people to get to and from their vital education. The enhanced levels of service also means parents can return to work safely."
