TEDDY BEARS PICNIC

Time: 11am – 2pm

Location: Mill Yard

Cost: £8 per child (all ingredients included)

Suitable for 2 – 12 year olds

Bring your favourite teddy to Cromford Mills for a fun filled teddy bears picnic.

Rebecca from ‘Cook Stars’ will be here to help you make your own picnic food to share with your teddy. Come along and make your very own teddy shaped sandwich, decorate a teddy cake, make a fruit kebab and gather other delicious food and drinks to create a Teddy Bears Picnic. There will also be games and crafts galore!

FAMILY FUN: SUPERHEROES SAVE THE DAY WEEKEND

Time: 10am – 4pm

Location:  Mill Yard

Cost: FREE ENTRY (small charge for some activities)

Come along and celebrate our Superhero Weekend at Cromford Mills.

Superhero Trail – Follow all the clues and win a prize. (£1 per trail).

Indoor and Outdoor Games – A variety of games to play that are fun for all the family.

Superhero Fancy Dress – Come dressed as your favourite superhero and win a prize.

Craft Activities – Make your own superhero mask.  Drop in anytime between 12am-4pm, Charges applies to specific activities (accompanying adults free).

Arkwright’s Café Treats – Visit our fantastic onsite café in the mill yard. Here you will be able to enjoy plenty of tasty treats.

Cromford Mills will be holding a craft and makers market in the mill yard. Stalls will showcase local and handmade goods. Please contact events@arkwrightsociety.org.uk if you would like more information or you would like to have a stall.

FAMILY FUN: SCARECROW FESTIVAL WEEKEND

Time: 10am-4pm

Location: Cromford Mills, Mill Yard

Cost: FREE ENTRY (There is a small charge for some activities)

Cromford Mills’ Scarecrow Festival returns with fun for all the family.

Meet the living scarecrows, follow the scarecrow trail and enjoy games, crafts and lots more.

Scarecrow Trail – Follow the scarecrow trail and judge which of the scarecrows you think should win first prize! Free prize draw for everyone who completes a judging form.

Owls and Parrots – Meet a selection of gorgeous owls and colourful, entertaining parrots and see the mischief they can cause! Discover more about these fascinating birds with talks at 12noon and 2pm. Come and hold an owl and have your photo taken - £2.

Petting Zoo Come along and meet and hold lots of different animals and creatures. Why not hold the animals for a small charge on the day?

Bamfords Auctioneers and Valuers, invite you to bring along items of interest for a free valuation and can be left for auction in the next appropriate sale. A walk-in event, where you can have items evaluated completely free of charge.

The Arkwright Spinsters will be demonstrating spinning and fibre crafting and sharing their skills. Bring your own spinning wheel and learn to spin or learn with group equipment by prior arrangement.

Ahoy there to all the Pirates and Hello to all the Pretty Princesses!

Step into the mill for a weekend full of pirates and princess adventures.

Fancy Dress Come dressed as a pirate or princess and win a prize.

Boat Trips – All aboard for pirate adventures for all the family. Capture the crafts and play the games. Fancy dress optional, treasure hunting compulsory! (Saturday only – departs 11am and 2pm). Visit www.birdswood.org for further details and to book.

Craft Activities– Take part in themed activities over the weekend. For all the pirates out there come and make your own ship in a bottle.
