World-class Derbyshire schools merge

Two prestigious Derbyshire schools, Foremarke Hall and Repton School, have merged, forming Bondholder Repton.

The two institutions have been brought together into a single entity to create one purposeful, integrated educational journey from 3 to 18, characterised throughout by the two Schools’ existing hallmarks of academic rigour, first-class pastoral care, sporting excellence, individual opportunity, personal development and a commitment to a full boarding ethos.

Repton Headmaster, Mark Semmence, will have over-arching responsibility for the whole school as CEO, while Robert Relton, Headmaster at Repton Prep will retain responsibility of the Prep.

Mark Semmence said: "Both Schools have historically shared links with each other however, the merger now strengthens those even further. Working together will allow them to continue to pursue excellence, provide a seamless high-quality education and pioneer our deep-rooted values."
