Wrap yourself up in Stars and Stories at Wirksworth's StarDisc

Come and wrap yourself up in an evening of Stars and Stories at the StarDisc in Stoney Wood, Wirksworth on Saturday 15 September, 7.30pm.

Magical stories inspired by the wonders of the universe, created and performed by young people and professional storyteller Maria Whatton (The Lunar Men), will capture your imagination, entertain and inspire you, whatever your age!

Enjoy a combination of new and traditional stories at Wirksworth’s celestial amphitheatre, the StarDisc and join us for eye-opening stargazing sessions from 6.15pm as well as after the performance at around 8.30pm.

Please come dressed for the weather on the day as we plan for the performance to take place in all conditions. As there is limited seating, please feel free to bring your own chair, rug or cushion.

The performance is particularly suitable for those aged 7+

This performance is the result of an exciting year-long participation project in partnership with Derbyshire Virtual School. Ten Derbyshire young people in care and care leavers designed the project exploring stories, stargazing and performance! To find out more about the project, take a look at these pages on the Adverse Camber website.

Although this performance is free, we would love to know how many people to expect for the event, so please RSVP by emailing jenny@adversecamber.org by Friday 31 August and let us know how many people you are bringing along with you!
