NA Broomfield Hall Volunteering
Volunteering
Broomfield Hall Gardens are seeking gardening volunteers to help restore and bring the beautiful historic gardens forward.
It is a fabulous opportunity to be a part of this valuable horticultural project to create a worthwhile gardening visitor attraction in Derbyshire.
Our current volunteers are working on a number of exciting developments, e.g.
Updating the Parterre with contemporary-feel herbaceous planting
Designing and planting a subtropical extravaganza at the Old Rose Garden.
Installation of a colourful rainbow planting design at the 46m long Herbaceous Border.
You will be a part of these and lots more exciting future developments.
All horticultural training will be provided by working alongside a highly qualified Kew-trained Head Gardener.
Our main volunteer days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Most volunteers do 4-6 hours per week.
NB: There will be an informal interview arranged for you to meet the Head Gardener and see the grounds. If you are successful, you will have to go through a free DBS check.
You have to provide your own protective equipment.
