Juggling, Geometry and Classical Indian Dance

Collide in Stunning New Show ‘Sigma’

Gandini Juggling and Seeta Patel present their incredible new show at Déda on Thursday 29 November at 7.30pm. The work explores the creative interface between juggling, geometry and classical Indian dance in a stunning new production.

Performed by a virtuosic cast, Sigma uses exuberant rhythms, patterns and colours in a unique interpretation of the South Indian dance form, Bharatanatyam. With a dazzling quartet of female artists, seductive percussion score and sumptuous backdrop of multimedia projections, the result is a simply unmissable performance.

Gandini Juggling have a reputation for innovation, pushing the boundaries of their art form by combining dance and rhythm, and forcing the threshold of juggling in its own unique direction. In this latest work, they have joined forces with the award-winning choreographer Seeta Patel to produce an incredible piece that crosses art forms.

The international success of Gandini’s previous productions has helped the company to develop and establish key networks and touring opportunities. With Sigma, the company hopes to expand on these relationships and create new partnerships to help support and sustain platforms for the presentation of contemporary circus.

Tickets to see Sigma are available to purchase online at www.deda.uk.com or through Déda’s Box Office on 01332 370911.  The performance will take place on Thursday 29 November at 7.30pm on Chapel Street in Derby.
