Buxton’s Crescent Trust’s Arts Council Programme Celebrates Buxton’s Water

Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust are delighted to announce a programme of celebratory events for the community, visitors, local artists and musicians that will celebrate the town’s water. The Trust are working closely with award-winning artist Amy Sharrocks on an inspiring multi-discipline artistic programme that offers residents and local artists the chance to share thoughts about the town’s liquid assets, to perform and work collaboratively.

Bikes and Buddhas - A Journey through Asia

Based on a true story of a bicycle journey from Vietnam to Thailand, Saigon to Bangkok, but likes those films inspired by true events, which parts are true and which are fiction? You, the audience, must decide!

Our journey will take us to great cities and ancient temples, and we will meet wild animals of various shapes and sizes as well as a beautiful woman, an old monk, a grumpy old man, and a very bad busker!

Pete's a storyteller of some renown and his tale melds traditional tales with his own two wheeled adventures in far off lands.

Programme launched for Derby Book Festival Autumn Edition

The programme for the first Autumn Edition of Derby Book Festival is released today (Monday 9 September) with tickets on sale for ten author events.  The Festival, which will be held from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th October, will feature some of the Festival’s most popular genres: politics, thrillers and biography.
