MORRISONS IS SEARCHING FOR THE NATION’S LOCAL FOODMAKERS

Morrisons continues its search for a new wave of local foodmakers to provide locally produced food to its customers.  

‘The Nation’s Local Foodmakers’ campaign will see Morrisons aim to recruit new suppliers from across England, Scotland and Wales. The campaign has already seen 153 local suppliers working with Morrisons since it started in 2017.

A special exhibition commemorating the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death opens at Derby Museum and Art Gallery tomorrow, featuring 12 of the Renaissance master’s great drawings from the Royal Collection.

Theatre Royal, Drury Lane Project – New Mills Art Theatre

London’s famous West End, Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, announced to the press that it’s iconic auditorium seats will find new homes in three regional volunteer-run venues as part of Drury Lane’s 20 month refurbishment project.

These seats - including those from the Royal boxes have already been packed, collected and transported to New Mills thanks to H Crabtree Limited.  To say we are excited is an understatement!

Project eARTh call out for artists

Opportunities for freelance artists : deadline 4th March 2019

Background:

Project eARTh (Environmental Art and Health) is a project is for adults experiencing mental distress or other long term conditions or physical impairments. 

We run projects in which the participants work collectively to create artworks – usually  for the community – installed in public spaces, indoors or out.

Each project is led by an experienced professional community artist, supported by mental health staff and volunteers.

The life and work of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo are the inspiration for the show created and performed by Brazilian storyteller Ana Maria Lines. Frida's soul echos in many of us. Frida's diversities, love, injuries, suffering were the subject for her work An unique life , an exceptional woman.

You will need to make sure that your idea makes business sense, has a good chance of success and that users will like your great idea for a product or service. A minimum of 10% of cash match towards total project costs.
